What The Geopolitician is
What is changing for business in each country — regulation, disruptions, companies, markets — read every day in the local press of 115 countries and reported in English. It is written for exporters, sourcing and supply-chain managers, investors, expatriate executives, trade lawyers and analysts: people with money or operations in a country whose press they cannot read.
What we read
Every morning we read 3,000 local outlets in 115 countries, in their own language: national dailies, business papers, regional titles and public broadcasters. Each country briefing is built only from that country's own outlets; the daily global report draws on all of them. A story is tagged by the country of the source that published it, not by what it is about.
What we look for
Eight kinds of signal, one printed above every story. Regulation: what rule changed. Disruption: what stopped working. Internal tension: protests, violence, repression, emergency rule, reported factually from the local press; never a forecast. Safety & health: disease outbreaks, contaminated water, storm warnings, security incidents affecting staff and travellers; whether people and operations can stay, reported from the local press and official notices; never a forecast. Companies: who moved. Markets: what prices did. Trade: what crossed the border. Politics: what changes the rules next, only where the economic consequence is stated. Each story adds an Impact line, the sectors it touches, and a Watch line with a date when the sources give one. How it is written
Drafting is AI-assisted: a language model reads the selected articles and writes a first version under fixed rules, stating only facts present in the sources, attributing each fact to its outlet and never inventing figures, quotes or events. Every source is named and linked inline and listed at the foot of the briefing. Photographs are credited and licensed.
